Welcome to the Graham County Republican Committee
GOP Congressional Candidate Forum in Thatcher
The Graham County Republican Committee announces that five GOP candidates for the newly drawn Arizona congressional district 6 are scheduled to appear at a forum on July 7, at 7:00 p.m. at the Lee Little Theater on the Eastern Arizona College campus.
“We’re happy to present this the week of Independence Day,” said Kip Kempton, GOP chairman for Graham County. “We have five great candidates who we’re looking forward to hearing from.”
After the 2020 Census, the lines were redrawn for all U.S. House seats, and the bulk of Graham County became part of the newly drawn CD-6. Because it’s new, there is no sitting incumbent. “It’s a wide open field,” Kempton said. “We’d like to see someone in Washington who represents our values, and who understands the unique issues we face in this area, particularly water.”
The event will include:
· Kathleen Winn of Tucson: television reporter, banking, lending and real estate, founder of TASA (Task Force Against Senior Abuse); has been fighting sex trafficking in Arizona since 2010.
· Juan Ciscomani of Tucson: Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce board member, former Senior Adviser to Governor Ducey, advocate for border security, runs the Arizona Mexico Commission.
· Young Mayberry of St. David: Retired 28-yr Air Force Lt. Col.; negotiated international agreements in Latin America; Spanish professor at the Air Force Academy; Iraq War veteran. 25-year Arizona farmer.
· Brandon Martin of Sierra Vista: former US Army Interrogator, Ft Huachuca Training Coordinator, veteran of Afghanistan conflict.
· Lucretia Free of Vail: businesswoman, publisher of The American Woman Shooter gun magazine, and founder of the South East Regional Council.
The moderators for the event will be Graham County Supervisor John Howard and former Graham GOP secretary Jennifer Griffith. Supervisor Howard is a local business owner, retired fifth generation farmer and lifelong resident of Graham County. Jennifer has worked for the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate, as well as on local and national campaigns. Both have vested interests in Graham County and preserving our way of life here.
After the forum, the candidates will be available to visit with local residents as time allows. There is no charge for admission, but because seating is limited, it is recommended that you get free tickets below:

News from the Chairman:
Once again, the elections this year are critical to deciding the future of our county. Flipping just one senate seat will give control back to the Republicans, while flipping three seats will return the House to Republicans and retire Nancy Pelosi. We need you to help where you are able. Consider attending events listed on this page. Please subscribe above to the newsletter.
Together we will take the country back!
